Consultation Definition

Question - What Does The Term Consultation Mean?

Answer - An employer has to consult with their workforce before doing some things such as making a significant number redundant. The consultation must be 'in good faith', that is with a view to reaching agreement. However it does not mean that there must be agreement, simply that the process was serious.
